Asymptotics for renewal-reward processes with retrospective reward structure
نویسنده
چکیده
Let {(Xi; Yi): i= : : : ;−1; 0; 1; : : :} be a doubly in nite renewal-reward process, where {Xi: i= : : :− 1; 0; 1; : : :} is an i.i.d. sequence of renewal cycle lengths and Yi= g(Xi−q; Xi−q+1; : : : ; Xi) is the lump reward earned at the end of the ith renewal cycle, with some function g :R q+1 → R . Starting with the rst renewal cycle (of duration X1) at the time origin, let C(t) denote the expected cumulative reward earned in (0; t]. In this paper, an asymptotic representation for C of the form C(t) = t + + o(1); t → ∞, is derived. An application of this result in single item replacement modelling is discussed. c © 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

COVARIANCE MATRIX OF MULTIVARIATE REWARD PROCESSES WITH NONLINEAR REWARD FUNCTIONS
Multivariate reward processes with reward functions of constant rates, defined on a semi-Markov process, first were studied by Masuda and Sumita, 1991. Reward processes with nonlinear reward functions were introduced in Soltani, 1996. In this work we study a multivariate process , , where are reward processes with nonlinear reward functions respectively. The Laplace transform of the covar...
متن کاملRenewal reward processes with fuzzy rewards and their applications to T-age replacement policies
The application of fuzzy set theory to renewal reward processes is proposed in this paper. The reward is modeled as a fuzzy random variable. A theorem which presents the long-run average fuzzy reward per unit time is stated. A procedure to obtain the best T-age replacement policy with fuzzy cost structure is developed. The original problem is transformed into a nonlinear program in order to eva...
متن کاملSome properties of fuzzy alternating renewal processes
The alternating renewal process is one of the renewal processes in renewal theory. It is widely used in inventory systems and queueing systems. In classical alternating renewal processes, one of the assumptions is that the on times and off times are independent random variables. The notion of a fuzzy set was introduced by Zadeh [1] who defined it as a generalized characteristic function. Recent...
متن کاملFrom uniform renewal theorem to uniform large and moderate deviations for renewal-reward processes
A uniform key renewal theorem is deduced from the uniform Blackwell’s renewal theorem. A uniform LDP (large deviation principle) for renewal-reward processes is obtained, and MDP (moderate deviation principle) is deduced under conditions much weaker than existence of exponential moments.
